Jose Castro
BIOGRAFIA
Jose Castro was born in A Cañiza, Galicia in 1971. In Barcelona he studied fashion design at the school of arts and techniques of fashion, later specializing in masculine design at the royal college of art in London. After a few years abroad working for Dolce & Gabbana, Max Mara and with Alexander McQueen for Givenchy, Jose decided to continue his career where it had first started – in Barcelona. In 2001 he entered as creative director for Miró Jeans, up until 2004 when he moved on to form part of the design team at the spanish brand Desigual, where he is still operating.
In October 2006 Jose Castro decided to create his own brand, in which he would come to transmit his own vision of a woman. After 3 seasons showing in both Barcelona and Paris, he was elected by the union chamber to enter the French fashion federation. Jose Castro is the only member, working from Spain, who has formed part of this prestigious institution. The garments of Jose Castro can be found in Hong Kong, China, Italy, France, Kuwait and New Zealand.
